It was fantastic!

On Her Space My Space they’re doing something new. It’s called Show Off Sunday (SOS) where we can take a photo of anything we want. I took a photo of all the things that made yesterday really special.
There’s the script, tickets and programme from my play.
A T-shirt, nail varnish, necklace and wristband from my friend Charley for my birthday. It was really special because my birthday was in July but we haven’t see each other since then and she still remembered to bring my present when she came to watch the play!

My special day

The play went really really well! The seats were very nearly all full! Mum took lots of photos. Here are my favourite ones.
I’m wearing black trousers and waistcoat, a white shirt, a yellow tie and a black beret.
This is the very first scene where we all come out on stage. I’m under the umbrella.

Last Train Out 001

This is my main scene when I was trying to sell garlic to Harold and Kitty Greenstreet.

Last Train Out 007

Boris and Veronika had to sell their samovar and were really upset about it. The song was funny though and everyone laughed.

Last Train Out 020

This is when we were talking about the Seine being close to flooding.

Last Train Out 038

We’re all trying to get away from the flood.

Last Train Out 045

Our final bow and I’m in the front row.

Last Train Out 047

There’s lots more photos on my mum’s Flickr and they’re all here.
It was so exciting to do and I can’t wait until I can do it again. We even get a film of it so I can’t wait for that either!
I’m going to have a look now at all my Her Space MySpace friends photos because I haven’t had time to look at them this week.
See you later!

An even longer day today!

Filed under: Adam, Mum, drama, photo prompts

Today we’ve got to do a self portrait. I tried to do the same as the other one I did, but the new camera is bigger and I couldn’t hold it properly. So I just took it and looked at the viewfinder in the bathroom mirror instead so I could make sure I was in the middle!.

I'm too tired for this!

I’m still in my pyjamas and I haven’t brushed my hair!
Thanks for everyone’s comments yesterday!
I’ve got to go now. Today’s the big day! The play starts at 8 o’clock and I’m really excited and also a bit nervous too! I’ve got all my costume sorted out now and mum’s going to take some photos tonight. My big brother’s coming too. He’s already gone to work now though!
I’ll spend loads of time tomorrow looking at everyone’s photos but after I’ve had a really long sleep in bed!

Friend

That’s today’s word!
My mum really hates her photo being taken and Adam was asleep and really grumpy in bed so they wouldn’t let me take their photo!
So I took another one of Maisy instead. It’s a bit blurry because she was cleaning herself at the time! She’s sitting in one of her favourite corners. It’s behind the computer cupboard door right next to all my DVDs!

Friend!

I wanted to take a photo of my friends at drama but mum wouldn’t let me take the camera on my own!

I don’t know what to call this post!

I spent most of yesterday out in the garden but I can’t really remember what I did there!
I also spent a long time playing Walking With Cavemen games on the computer and I read lots of Secret Water too.
I had to keep stirring the blackberry sun jam. I got to lick the spoon every time aswell! It’s so yummy!

Sun jam

It took ages to get a photo of the jam dripping because I kept missing it!
Mum made a backberry pie that was absolutely delicious!

Today’s photo prompt is bloom. It’s a weed growing in a crack in the patio. Mum says it’s too pretty to pull up though so we’ve left it there!

Bloom

One of the scavenger hunt items is spider so I took this photo aswell today.

Eeek!!! Spider!!!

LOL!!! It’s really a fake spider that I trick Adam with! He’s scared of them and he’s much bigger and older than me!

We went in town today and I got Kids National Geographic. It’s got a free space mission interactive CD rom with it so I’ll have a look at that later. I also got some more clay so I can add more bits to the stone age scene. It’s just started raining so I think we got back just in time!
Oh and I got my cash card for my new bank account in the post! It’s so cool!
Bye!

Birthday party!!

The photo prompt today was the letter S, so I chose something Special! It’s my teddy called Ted. He’s very special to me because I’ve had him since I was born. My big brother Adam bought him for me when I was only about an hour old!

Ted

He doesn’t look like he has any eyes but that’s just because his fur covers them.

Yesterday I went to my friend’s birthday party. It was fantastically fun! There was a water slide in the garden which most of us had a go on. A paddling pool aswell. We played pass the parcel but we had to go on a treasure hunt finding clues around the house and garden first to find the parcel. We played bang the drum where we were blindfolded and had to find a upturned saucepan with a prize underneath. The prize was a growing pet. I got a snake but Bethany said I could change it to an alligator.
I was too busy having too much fun to remember to take any photos of my own. So here’s some mum took…

Whee!

Bang the Drum

Bethany gave me my birthday card and present while we were playing pass the parcel. She got me The Roman Mysteries Omnibus. I can’t wait to start reading it!
We got the train home and I finally remembered to take a photo when we were in the High Street waiting for a bus home!

Exeter High Street

We didn’t get home until ten o’clock! I was really tired this morning so I had a lie in. When I got up I took this photo of the buddleia in the back garden. It’s as tall as our house and it attracts lots of butterflies so that’s why it’s sometimes called the butterfly bush.

Buddleia

Oh and this is the birthday card I helped mum make for Bethany.

The Longest Catch Up Ever!!

I can’t remember exactly all the things I’ve been doing or the days that I did them on. But I’ll try to!
We’ve been cycling loads and loads. Somtimes my legs were really aching badly. And sometimes I couldn’t ride fast at all!
Mum said I’m good enough to ride on the road now. But I don’t ride on the big busy roads. They make me feel scared and unsafe.(Mum doesn’t ride on them either!)
I started to help Di make a bottle top tree for her garden. She let me make a little fire in her garden which was so cool! (But it nearly burnt the plants). We went to the allotment aswell.Mum and me saw Anderson and he said I can have my very own bit in the community garden. It is so exciting! I’m going to start planting things on Tuesday and Di is coming to help. I can’t wait!

Risen from the ashes

We’ve been to group. I’ve had two practices for the WREN trust concert. I went to the scrapstore with J and his dad. Last week Lisa and the girls came in the afternoon so that was fun!
We’ve been to the library and the museum lots. I finished collecting all the trading cards. One of the men at the museum helped me. I think his name was Marcus or Mark. I’ve got some more cards to give him to say thank-you. I’ve been to drama twice, and played the museum card game with a friend there.

The full set!!

I did lots of things for St. Patricks day because I’m half Irish. I found my Irish flag and wore it around me!

Writing wishes on shamrocksFlowers from AdamGold!!

On Mothers Day, I made mum breakfast in bed. It took ages because I put the wrong ring on for the baked beans! I made her a treasure box with some gold coins in. Adam got mum some flowers and we all played Uno Extreme.
I tidied my room which really surprised mum! We went to Lisa’s one afternoon and we played on the computer. We went to pottery on Thursday. J came for the first time and I was really pleased to see him. But T didn’t come.

Finally!Cat and plaqueAnd then there was light!Working out bus timetables for our April trips

I made another collage. I’ve done lots of reading and book reviews. I got a brilliant new book for English called Max and Lara’s Amazing Travelling Space Circus. I really like it and I’ve finished it now! It’s got a big poster that you can add stickers to. I’ve done some other English and maths. I’ve done some science aswell and yesterday I made a circuit and added a switch. I did some more on food for the Bible project. I’ve worked out all the bus times for all the trips we want to do in April.
I’ve done lots of cooking. I’ve made chestnut and mushroom pie, Irish stew, sosmix sausages, cheesy bacon puffs (vegan ones of course!), pea and basil soup, chocolate cake, parsnip cake, cinnamon biscuits, flapjacks and onion and herb scones.

We’ve watched four films, Great Expectations and all three of the Indiana Jones films. My favourite is The Last Crusade.
I want to start up my own club. I’ve done lots of forms for all the members to fill in. I’ve done some membership cards. I’m starting to write a newsletter but I haven’t quite finished it yet. In the newsletter so far I’ve written some of the rules which are no fighting or even play fighting and no pranks.
Last night we went to see some friends and got home about 10 o’clock. I was really tired when I woke up this morning. When I came downstairs mum had fixed the washing machine and there was water all over the floor. So I had to put on my boots to get my breakfast!

Martin Luther King Day

I found my DVDs! I found them outside my bedroom door! Adam put them there. He said they were under his duvet! I haven’t got a clue how they got there it’s very mysterios (and I think suspicios mainly)
It’s Martin Luther King Day today and I did lots of worksheets about him. Adam didn’t go to college today so Mum went into town on her own. Adam helped me a bit with one of the crosswords. He helped look up things on Wikipedia.
I did a page in my scrapbook with some pictures of Martin Luther King. Here is a photo:

Scrapbook

I made a banner of different coloured hands aswell. Here is a photo of that:

My Hand Banner

There are some close up photos on flicker of the hands. I’m really pleased with it!
Mum has got a really sore wrist at the moment so I mostly cooked dinner for us. We had vegan sage and marjoram sausages, mashed potato and baked beans. I peeled the potatoes by myself! And I mashed them with Pure, vegan mayonnaise and wholegrain mustard. They were as good as mums!
Mum is going to have a bath in a minute. Then she’s going to watch University Challenge (I think it’s boring though) and then she might read me some more of Our Island Story.
See you later!

When we got home I started making a prayer mat for Eid ul-Adha. I’ve finished painting it, when it’s dry I’m going to decorate it with felt tip pens and a gold marker.

Adamemoticon got dressed up as a gangster again! Mum had to tie his tie!emoticon His Dad did it last time down in Newquay(Cornwall) He went to work this morning and had to wear a silly wig. He said it was the one he chose. It was red and white and very shiny!! Ha Ha Ha!!!emoticon

I played with my Geomag.emoticon And I’ve been reading lots of my book that Adam’s nan and grandad got me. It’s called The Wishing Chair Collection and it’s got 3 stories in it. I think it’s very funny and the 2 children in it (Mollie and Peter) have lots of adventures.

ROBIN HOOD!!!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend called this morning. emoticon He’s nine but he was too shy to talk to me so his dad had to talk to me the whole time!!! We had to say goodbye because we both wanted to watch The Witches. I love Roald Dahl!!emoticon

Because it’s Eid ul Adha today, I did some worksheet’s all about it. We also went onto a Islamic blog. There were some really cool photos and videos.emoticon Muslims use a lunar calendar so mum found a really good website about phases of the moon. There was lots on it so I think I’ll look again tomorrow.emoticon

We got the big world map out to see where Mecca is so I could work out which direction Muslims here have to face when they pray. I had to get my compass out and I love using my compass!emoticon

I coloured in a Islamic style pattern (it was really, really complicated!emoticon) I was really pleased with my colouring though it looks really good! I cut out some shapes that I had coloured to make another pattern like a Islamic tile. That looks good aswell. Tomorrow I’m going to make a prayer rug too, I hope it works out OK!emoticon

emoticonThen it was ROBIN HOOD!!!!!!emoticon

I absolutely LOVE Robin Hood!!! I thought Marian had died at the beginning and I was really upset.emoticon But she was Ok. And Robin and Marian kissed at the end!emoticon Mum said it was about time too! It was the last programme today.emoticon

Adam (emoticon) came home this evening! He had a really good time in London. His nan and grandad got me a present. Some lovely hairbands in a pink shiny bag and an Enid Blyton book. It’s really cool, I don’t know how they knew I like Enid Blyton!emoticon Adam was a bit cross about his tv because one of my videos had got stuck in it but he sorted it all out!
