It was fantastic!

On Her Space My Space they’re doing something new. It’s called Show Off Sunday (SOS) where we can take a photo of anything we want. I took a photo of all the things that made yesterday really special.
There’s the script, tickets and programme from my play.
A T-shirt, nail varnish, necklace and wristband from my friend Charley for my birthday. It was really special because my birthday was in July but we haven’t see each other since then and she still remembered to bring my present when she came to watch the play!

My special day

The play went really really well! The seats were very nearly all full! Mum took lots of photos. Here are my favourite ones.
I’m wearing black trousers and waistcoat, a white shirt, a yellow tie and a black beret.
This is the very first scene where we all come out on stage. I’m under the umbrella.

Last Train Out 001

This is my main scene when I was trying to sell garlic to Harold and Kitty Greenstreet.

Last Train Out 007

Boris and Veronika had to sell their samovar and were really upset about it. The song was funny though and everyone laughed.

Last Train Out 020

This is when we were talking about the Seine being close to flooding.

Last Train Out 038

We’re all trying to get away from the flood.

Last Train Out 045

Our final bow and I’m in the front row.

Last Train Out 047

There’s lots more photos on my mum’s Flickr and they’re all here.
It was so exciting to do and I can’t wait until I can do it again. We even get a film of it so I can’t wait for that either!
I’m going to have a look now at all my Her Space MySpace friends photos because I haven’t had time to look at them this week.
See you later!

An even longer day today!

Filed under: Adam, Mum, drama, photo prompts

Today we’ve got to do a self portrait. I tried to do the same as the other one I did, but the new camera is bigger and I couldn’t hold it properly. So I just took it and looked at the viewfinder in the bathroom mirror instead so I could make sure I was in the middle!.

I'm too tired for this!

I’m still in my pyjamas and I haven’t brushed my hair!
Thanks for everyone’s comments yesterday!
I’ve got to go now. Today’s the big day! The play starts at 8 o’clock and I’m really excited and also a bit nervous too! I’ve got all my costume sorted out now and mum’s going to take some photos tonight. My big brother’s coming too. He’s already gone to work now though!
I’ll spend loads of time tomorrow looking at everyone’s photos but after I’ve had a really long sleep in bed!

Oh I am so tired now!

Filed under: Mum, drama, photo prompts

Last night I was even more tired so I spent longer in the bath to relax!
I’ve got a longer day at drama today because we’re doing the dress rehearsal later. Yesterday we got to rehearse some songs and dance moves on stage for the first time. I’ve never been back stage at a theatre before and it was really wicked! You get a dressing room with a kettle!
Anyway today’s word is stone. This is a bit of a blurry one of the amethyst right next to the computer chair.

Stone

You can tell I’m tired because the last few photos have all been taken so close to the computer so I don’t have to move very far!
The dusty bottle behind it is a bottle of champagne from mum’s birthday last year!
I’ve got to go and have my breakfast now!

White

Today’s word is white but we don’t have very much of white in our house!
My script for the play is on white paper though so I used that!
My lines are in pink.

My script!

Ruth, Sue and Louise like the frames I use. You have to go to www.bighugelabs.com and then upload a photo. The frames are on Motivator and then you can pick which colours you want to use too. There’s lots of other things you can do too.
Got to go and get ready now!
Bye!!

Friend

That’s today’s word!
My mum really hates her photo being taken and Adam was asleep and really grumpy in bed so they wouldn’t let me take their photo!
So I took another one of Maisy instead. It’s a bit blurry because she was cleaning herself at the time! She’s sitting in one of her favourite corners. It’s behind the computer cupboard door right next to all my DVDs!

Friend!

I wanted to take a photo of my friends at drama but mum wouldn’t let me take the camera on my own!

Wet

The photo prompt was up before I left for drama this morning. Yay!
The word is wet. Yesterday morning it was raining a lot but it’s not today. So this is my breakfast bowl waiting to be dried up. I had weetabix again!

Dry me!

Got to go and get dressed now so I can be a boy again today!

Plant

Filed under: Mum, drama, photo prompts

I had such a great time at drama today. My character is Pierre Leroux. He’s a boy! Mum said I should cut my hair to get into the part but I said no!! It’s set in Paris just before the second world war and there’s a murder case the french police have to solve. I’ve got ten lines to remember and I’m in a gang of street hustlers.
There was a fire alarm before lunch and we all had to go outside to stand in the rain!
I told mum to find out what todays word is because I missed it this morning. It’s plant and she brought the camera when she came to pick me up. So this is a plant in the arts centre. It’s only a flower but it’s the only plant I’ve seen all day!

My creation

Thanks Maaike!!

Maaike nominated me for a Nice Award! Thank you very much!
Here it is!

Yay!!

I’m going to nominate my mum because she cooks me nice food, takes me nice places and lets me use her new camera!

Yesterday was really good. We went to Cockington village in the afternoon to have a look around and meet up with some friends before we watched Romeo and Juliet in the evening. Here are some photos.
We walked from the train station.

On the way to Cockington

I loved this pink house! It was a tea room and there was someone playing a piano in the garden too.

Rose Cottage

There was a pond in the garden aswell.

Duck house!

The village had lots of thatched houses. I loved the horse and carts too!

Cockington

We saw this in one of the barns.

A grinder thing

This was the garden of the pub where we had a drink.

Round steps

This is the big house where there are lots of arts and crafts workshops and a education centre too. The play was on the grass in front of the house.

Cockington Court

I liked this window inside the house.

Another window!

This flower was in the garden.

Pink rose

Today’s photo prompt word is fly. So I’m using this photo from Cockington for it. I know the baby ducks are too small to fly yet but they will fly soon and they were really cute!

Baby ducks!

Mum took this photo of me and my friend B on one of the swings. It was so much fun!

Swing 1

The play was really good! I love Romeo and Juliet and this one was set in America and there were cowboys in it! It sounds weird but they all spoke the proper Shakespeare lines but with cowboy accents! It was brilliant!
We had to catch a train at 10:35 and when we were waiting for it we saw a fox walking along the train track and then it jumped up to the other platform!
We didn’t get home until quarter to 12 and I went straight to bed!
I stayed in bed for ages this morning. I’ve done a bit more painting on the stoneage scene and I’ve been making a present for my friend too. It was her birthday yesterday so I can give it to her when I next see her!
The best news today is that mum got a phonecall and I am doing drama all next week!! YAY!! I’m going to be in a real play! We’ve got rehearsals all week and the play is on Saturday! It’s going to be so brilliant!

The Longest Catch Up Ever!!

I can’t remember exactly all the things I’ve been doing or the days that I did them on. But I’ll try to!
We’ve been cycling loads and loads. Somtimes my legs were really aching badly. And sometimes I couldn’t ride fast at all!
Mum said I’m good enough to ride on the road now. But I don’t ride on the big busy roads. They make me feel scared and unsafe.(Mum doesn’t ride on them either!)
I started to help Di make a bottle top tree for her garden. She let me make a little fire in her garden which was so cool! (But it nearly burnt the plants). We went to the allotment aswell.Mum and me saw Anderson and he said I can have my very own bit in the community garden. It is so exciting! I’m going to start planting things on Tuesday and Di is coming to help. I can’t wait!

Risen from the ashes

We’ve been to group. I’ve had two practices for the WREN trust concert. I went to the scrapstore with J and his dad. Last week Lisa and the girls came in the afternoon so that was fun!
We’ve been to the library and the museum lots. I finished collecting all the trading cards. One of the men at the museum helped me. I think his name was Marcus or Mark. I’ve got some more cards to give him to say thank-you. I’ve been to drama twice, and played the museum card game with a friend there.

The full set!!

I did lots of things for St. Patricks day because I’m half Irish. I found my Irish flag and wore it around me!

Writing wishes on shamrocksFlowers from AdamGold!!

On Mothers Day, I made mum breakfast in bed. It took ages because I put the wrong ring on for the baked beans! I made her a treasure box with some gold coins in. Adam got mum some flowers and we all played Uno Extreme.
I tidied my room which really surprised mum! We went to Lisa’s one afternoon and we played on the computer. We went to pottery on Thursday. J came for the first time and I was really pleased to see him. But T didn’t come.

Finally!Cat and plaqueAnd then there was light!Working out bus timetables for our April trips

I made another collage. I’ve done lots of reading and book reviews. I got a brilliant new book for English called Max and Lara’s Amazing Travelling Space Circus. I really like it and I’ve finished it now! It’s got a big poster that you can add stickers to. I’ve done some other English and maths. I’ve done some science aswell and yesterday I made a circuit and added a switch. I did some more on food for the Bible project. I’ve worked out all the bus times for all the trips we want to do in April.
I’ve done lots of cooking. I’ve made chestnut and mushroom pie, Irish stew, sosmix sausages, cheesy bacon puffs (vegan ones of course!), pea and basil soup, chocolate cake, parsnip cake, cinnamon biscuits, flapjacks and onion and herb scones.

We’ve watched four films, Great Expectations and all three of the Indiana Jones films. My favourite is The Last Crusade.
I want to start up my own club. I’ve done lots of forms for all the members to fill in. I’ve done some membership cards. I’m starting to write a newsletter but I haven’t quite finished it yet. In the newsletter so far I’ve written some of the rules which are no fighting or even play fighting and no pranks.
Last night we went to see some friends and got home about 10 o’clock. I was really tired when I woke up this morning. When I came downstairs mum had fixed the washing machine and there was water all over the floor. So I had to put on my boots to get my breakfast!

Not another weeks worth!

Di’s party was really cool. I made a lot of great new friends there!emoticon

We got back home in time to watch the moon eclipse. It was really cool, but it was really cold in the back garden in my pyjamas!emoticon

On Sunday, we watched Kes. I really liked it, but it was so sad when the bird died.emoticon

We made some things for Hina Matsuri.

On Monday, Lisa, M, D and R came round. We made some more things for Hina Matsuri. It was a really fun day, except R sat on my dharma doll!emoticon

On Tuesday, the council came round to cut the ivy back at the front of the house. But they didn’t have the scaffolding so they came back on Wednesday. I finished making my Hina Matsuri dolls.

On Wednesday, the council really did cut back the ivy. They found 3 birds nests. I was really sad, because I love the birds right by my window.emoticon

We went to group and then I went to drama. After drama Lin, J and M came to our house. We watched Nanny McPhee. Lin showed me how to start crocheting.

On Thursday, I did lots more crocheting. I’m going to start making patterns soon. I was allowed to stay at Lisa’s again on Thursday night. It was really cool!

Yesterday we went to the museum and we did poetry in the morning and collage after lunch.

This is the first poem I wrote.

THE MOUNTAIN

The shadow was huge

Like a mountain

As I looked out of the glass

The Light was bright

And the plain was big

The shadow is small now

The mountain is still big

As I look out of the glass

The light is dim

And the plain is still big

THE END!!

I am really pleased with it. It was my first poem ever!!emoticon

In the afternoon, we did some collage with Anthony Frost. He was really funny! He showed us how to do collage. I had a lot of fun and even mum had joined in!!

The collages took ages to dry so we left them at the museum and we went to pick them up this morning. Mine was still a bit wet!

When we got home, I took the birds nests to bits to see what they were made of. I’m really tired now. So bye for now!emoticon
