Oh no! I’ve got to catch up!

The photo prompt word on Friday was chew and I couldn’t think of anything! Now I can’t even remember what we did on Friday!
I remember on Saturday it was mum’s birthday and I made her a cup of tea then I went on a day out with Guides. We went on an adventure zone day and did so many things! We did apple bobbing, toasting marshmallows, made dampers and cooked them, made a tent, sign language and whistle communication, peeling potatoes, writing with a pen in your mouth or holding it with your toes, singing round the campfire….I can’t remember the rest! Then Adam stayed home with me when mum went out with her friend in the evening.
Yesterday was my friends birthday party but his birthday’s really today. We got the train to Totnes and then got picked up to drive up to Dartmoor to meet everyone else. It was really, really brilliant and fun! We all had a picnic and some of us went paddling and swimming in the river. I had a go on a mountain board which was so much fun. Some other boys there let me and my friends borrow their inflatable boat too. We played pass the parcel and there were loads of bubbles. One of our little friends climbed a tree for the very first time and her mum asked me to take a photo of her!

Up a tree!

I got to catch up with some of the photo prompts too!
The first one is chew which is the one that I got stuck on! At the end of the party when we were packing up to go we saw two little ponies with their mums. They were so cute!

Chew

The next one is Self Portrait Saturday which I did today after mum showed me how to use the timer. It took a bit of practice!

First try

Nearly there!

But I finally got it right!

Me!!

For Show Off Sunday I took a photo of the pebbles that light up in the city centre at night. They keep changing colour but this is my favourite colour!

Purple Pebble!

Today’s word is fall so I took a photo of a rose that has lost most of it’s petals!

Fall

I’ve caught up with everything now! I’m going to go and help mum make a cake for a strawberry trifle. It’s my favourite!

Dish and a snake!

We went out later than we were going to yesterday because mum spent longer in the bath! We went to the park to see some friends and I took my new MP3 player with me. I let my fiends R and B listen to it while I was playing with some other fiends.
I saw Charly my friend from drama at the park too and she came with me and mum to the museum.
There was another workshop making totems so we all did that. Even mum did! We haven’t finished them yet because we got there a bit late and we still have to stick some tissue paper on them. The reason we were a bit late was because we went to another part of the museum to look at something.

Warning!!

Getting comfy

It was so cool! Charly was too scared to hold it but she did touch it quickly before we left! She came back to our house and set me up with my own Bebo account then she had to go home.

Today’s word is dish. We’ve been to Spain a few times because my nanny and grandad live there and we got these tapas dishes there. I love the colours!

It was fantastic!

On Her Space My Space they’re doing something new. It’s called Show Off Sunday (SOS) where we can take a photo of anything we want. I took a photo of all the things that made yesterday really special.
There’s the script, tickets and programme from my play.
A T-shirt, nail varnish, necklace and wristband from my friend Charley for my birthday. It was really special because my birthday was in July but we haven’t see each other since then and she still remembered to bring my present when she came to watch the play!

My special day

The play went really really well! The seats were very nearly all full! Mum took lots of photos. Here are my favourite ones.
I’m wearing black trousers and waistcoat, a white shirt, a yellow tie and a black beret.
This is the very first scene where we all come out on stage. I’m under the umbrella.

Last Train Out 001

This is my main scene when I was trying to sell garlic to Harold and Kitty Greenstreet.

Last Train Out 007

Boris and Veronika had to sell their samovar and were really upset about it. The song was funny though and everyone laughed.

Last Train Out 020

This is when we were talking about the Seine being close to flooding.

Last Train Out 038

We’re all trying to get away from the flood.

Last Train Out 045

Our final bow and I’m in the front row.

Last Train Out 047

There’s lots more photos on my mum’s Flickr and they’re all here.
It was so exciting to do and I can’t wait until I can do it again. We even get a film of it so I can’t wait for that either!
I’m going to have a look now at all my Her Space MySpace friends photos because I haven’t had time to look at them this week.
See you later!

Friend

That’s today’s word!
My mum really hates her photo being taken and Adam was asleep and really grumpy in bed so they wouldn’t let me take their photo!
So I took another one of Maisy instead. It’s a bit blurry because she was cleaning herself at the time! She’s sitting in one of her favourite corners. It’s behind the computer cupboard door right next to all my DVDs!

Friend!

I wanted to take a photo of my friends at drama but mum wouldn’t let me take the camera on my own!

Can

Today’s photo prompt word is can so I did this with Flickr Tools. Mum helped though!

My creation

It’s another one of mum’s frogs!

I’ve been painting a bit of my friends birthday present but the rest isn’t quite dry yet. I’m going to sew a little bag to put it all in to keep it safe.
I’m going to finish the stoneage scene today aswell.
Got to go. I want to send some emails to my friends!

Thanks Maaike!!

Maaike nominated me for a Nice Award! Thank you very much!
Here it is!

Yay!!

I’m going to nominate my mum because she cooks me nice food, takes me nice places and lets me use her new camera!

Yesterday was really good. We went to Cockington village in the afternoon to have a look around and meet up with some friends before we watched Romeo and Juliet in the evening. Here are some photos.
We walked from the train station.

On the way to Cockington

I loved this pink house! It was a tea room and there was someone playing a piano in the garden too.

Rose Cottage

There was a pond in the garden aswell.

Duck house!

The village had lots of thatched houses. I loved the horse and carts too!

Cockington

We saw this in one of the barns.

A grinder thing

This was the garden of the pub where we had a drink.

Round steps

This is the big house where there are lots of arts and crafts workshops and a education centre too. The play was on the grass in front of the house.

Cockington Court

I liked this window inside the house.

Another window!

This flower was in the garden.

Pink rose

Today’s photo prompt word is fly. So I’m using this photo from Cockington for it. I know the baby ducks are too small to fly yet but they will fly soon and they were really cute!

Baby ducks!

Mum took this photo of me and my friend B on one of the swings. It was so much fun!

Swing 1

The play was really good! I love Romeo and Juliet and this one was set in America and there were cowboys in it! It sounds weird but they all spoke the proper Shakespeare lines but with cowboy accents! It was brilliant!
We had to catch a train at 10:35 and when we were waiting for it we saw a fox walking along the train track and then it jumped up to the other platform!
We didn’t get home until quarter to 12 and I went straight to bed!
I stayed in bed for ages this morning. I’ve done a bit more painting on the stoneage scene and I’ve been making a present for my friend too. It was her birthday yesterday so I can give it to her when I next see her!
The best news today is that mum got a phonecall and I am doing drama all next week!! YAY!! I’m going to be in a real play! We’ve got rehearsals all week and the play is on Saturday! It’s going to be so brilliant!

Lock

Today’s word is lock. We’ve got lots of old locks in the house and I chose this one on an old cupboard in mum’s room. It came from my great great uncle Pip. Mum keeps all the photos in one side. But I don’t know what she keeps in the other side because it’s locked!

Lock

We made a birthday card for my friend yesterday. Actually mum did because it was a bit fiddly to cut out. I did help choose the butterflies and the colours though!
Here is a photo mum took of it. I love it and want to keep it!

Close up to see the 3D

Got to go. We’re going to Cockington today and this evening we’re watching Romeo and Juliet there.

Cakes and chop

Filed under: Mum, friends, food, photo prompts

Here’s a photo of the cakes mum made and I helped decorate. They were so yummy! They got eaten really quickly when we got to the party.

Ooh very very yummy!

The party was really good. I won pin the tail on the donkey!
After the party we went to our friend’s house. Me and mum took some more photos with the new camera. We were trying out the flower mode. Here’s one I took of a rosehip.

Rosehip

Today’s photo prompt word is chop. Mum’s got a mezzaluna which she loves using. She’s chopping up rosemary. I love using it too, so after I had taken the photo I chopped up the rosemary really fine!

Chop

We were going out today but mum’s changed her mind. We were going to a outdoor Romeo and Juliet but the weather’s not very nice so we’re going tomorrow instead. I can’t wait! I love Romeo and Juliet!

Window

Filed under: Mum, friends, food, photo prompts

Today’s word is window. I took a photo of a window yesterday and one in the cathedral last week. But today I took another one. This is the window at the top of our stairs. Mum stuck lots of celtic patterns on it. It looks even more colourful when the sun shines through it!

Window

Got to go. I’m going to help mum decorate some little cakes to take to my friends birthday party this afternoon!

New camera!!

On Sunday I finished most of the stone age scene. Yesterday we met some friends in town for a picnic. Then we all went to the museum for a world war two workshop. I’ve been before but Bethany hasn’t. We had loads of fun getting dressed up, but sitting in the dark shelter with the sound of an air raid going on was a bit scary.
They all came back to our house after and I showed Bethany some of my fvourite games on the internet.
But the best news ever is that mum got a new camera from Amazon this morning! It is so brilliant!! But it was quite expensive so mum always has to be with me now when I’m taking any photos.
We went in town this afternoon and I could do all of the photo prompts I’ve missed.

Double.
Some double doors in Cathedral Close.

Double doors

Down.
We went upstairs in the Guildhall shopping centre and looked down.

Down

Thread.
There’s quite a big hole in a seam on my kagoule and the thread’s are hanging loose!

Thread

Drive.
A green traffic light means everyone can go!

Drive

Pasta.
We didn’t see any pasta in the High Street! But I did see this sign on an Italian reastaurant’s window.

Pasta

All caught up again!!
