Life with Olivia

A bit late today.

I uploaded my photos and then we lost internet connection. Mum asked what had I done! I didn’t do anything!

Today’s word is apple and I didn’t think we had any apples at all. But then I remembered we did. We had two! So I took this photo and then I ate it!

Apple

I also took this photo of the stoneage scene I keep writing about. It’s all finished now!

My stone age scene

Mum took this one from a different angle.

Stone age

Mum says that when all the schools have gone back we can go Kents Cavern for part of my stone age project because it will be quieter then.

I’m really sorry I didn’t comment on anyone’s yesterday! I got really busy in the garden chopping up sticks and branches. I want to make some dampers and cook them over a fire in the garden. I was in my vegetable garden aswell and I picked my first cucumber! The sweetcorn are all growing. There’s 8. I picked some carrots and onions too!

I am a business woman!!

We went to the community garden today to see how my veggies are getting on. There were loads of runnerbeans ready to be picked! I also picked some peas, some carrots, potatoes, rhubarb and different herbs.
The photo prompt today is “Summer” so I took a photo of everything I picked.

Summer!

I was going to give most of it to the community centre kitchen, but Andi said they’d finished cooking for the day. She said I could sell it all to make myself some money instead! So she got me a little table and I wrote a sign saying “A handfull of whatever you want for 10p”.
Mum took these next photos.
This is me when my little stand was first ready.

I'm a business woman!!

This is Anderson with me. He’s the community centre manager and he was showing me how to sell the vegetables really loudly like they do in real markets! He’s really funny!

Anderson showing me how to sell things loudly!

This is another one of our friends. She’s called Di (she’s wearing blue) and she’s teaching me how to make lotions and creams from herbs and wild flowers. She’s also teaching me lots about gardening and when it’s too wet for that we all do arty things at her house instead.

Di bought some carrots!

I got two boys who are on school holidays to help me sell the veggies. They got about £1.50 each and I got £3!! I was so pleased!! Some people gave us money without even buying anything!! I gave Anderson 10% of my profits as a donation to the community centre.

We went to the library after that to take some books back and I spent some of my money on a vegan pasty because I was really hungry!

I’ve got my own bank account!

We went in town today to do a bit of shopping and I opened my own bank acount! I’ll be getting my own cash point card soon aswell! I’m so excited!
The letter on the photo prompts today was N so I took a photo of some nasturtiums I’ve been growing in the back garden.

Nasturtium

Terry said some letters haven’t been used yet. So I did V for vine leaf aswell. That’s growing in the back garden too!

One of the other not used letters was M. When we were in town I took some photos. One of them was Mols Coffee House. That’s it on the left with the purple shades.

More cafes!

Here are some more photos I took today. The rest are on my Flickr account.

The Longest Catch Up Ever!!

I can’t remember exactly all the things I’ve been doing or the days that I did them on. But I’ll try to!
We’ve been cycling loads and loads. Somtimes my legs were really aching badly. And sometimes I couldn’t ride fast at all!
Mum said I’m good enough to ride on the road now. But I don’t ride on the big busy roads. They make me feel scared and unsafe.(Mum doesn’t ride on them either!)
I started to help Di make a bottle top tree for her garden. She let me make a little fire in her garden which was so cool! (But it nearly burnt the plants). We went to the allotment aswell.Mum and me saw Anderson and he said I can have my very own bit in the community garden. It is so exciting! I’m going to start planting things on Tuesday and Di is coming to help. I can’t wait!

Risen from the ashes

We’ve been to group. I’ve had two practices for the WREN trust concert. I went to the scrapstore with J and his dad. Last week Lisa and the girls came in the afternoon so that was fun!
We’ve been to the library and the museum lots. I finished collecting all the trading cards. One of the men at the museum helped me. I think his name was Marcus or Mark. I’ve got some more cards to give him to say thank-you. I’ve been to drama twice, and played the museum card game with a friend there.

The full set!!

I did lots of things for St. Patricks day because I’m half Irish. I found my Irish flag and wore it around me!

On Mothers Day, I made mum breakfast in bed. It took ages because I put the wrong ring on for the baked beans! I made her a treasure box with some gold coins in. Adam got mum some flowers and we all played Uno Extreme.
I tidied my room which really surprised mum! We went to Lisa’s one afternoon and we played on the computer. We went to pottery on Thursday. J came for the first time and I was really pleased to see him. But T didn’t come.

Finally!Cat and plaqueAnd then there was light!Working out bus timetables for our April trips

I made another collage. I’ve done lots of reading and book reviews. I got a brilliant new book for English called Max and Lara’s Amazing Travelling Space Circus. I really like it and I’ve finished it now! It’s got a big poster that you can add stickers to. I’ve done some other English and maths. I’ve done some science aswell and yesterday I made a circuit and added a switch. I did some more on food for the Bible project. I’ve worked out all the bus times for all the trips we want to do in April.
I’ve done lots of cooking. I’ve made chestnut and mushroom pie, Irish stew, sosmix sausages, cheesy bacon puffs (vegan ones of course!), pea and basil soup, chocolate cake, parsnip cake, cinnamon biscuits, flapjacks and onion and herb scones.

We’ve watched four films, Great Expectations and all three of the Indiana Jones films. My favourite is The Last Crusade.
I want to start up my own club. I’ve done lots of forms for all the members to fill in. I’ve done some membership cards. I’m starting to write a newsletter but I haven’t quite finished it yet. In the newsletter so far I’ve written some of the rules which are no fighting or even play fighting and no pranks.
Last night we went to see some friends and got home about 10 o’clock. I was really tired when I woke up this morning. When I came downstairs mum had fixed the washing machine and there was water all over the floor. So I had to put on my boots to get my breakfast!

Lots of RAMM Cards!

I did lots of stuff for Chinese New Year on Sunday because I absolutely love it. Here are some photos.

On Monday we rode our bikes to town to do a World War 2 workshop. Mum forgot the camera so there are no photos. I had to carry a gas mask everywhere but I didn’t want to try it on! We b0th got identity cards that had to be stamped. We sat in the Anderson shelter and heard an air-raid going on. I am so glad it wasn’t real!! I did a local history quiz and got 3 packs of trading cards. Then we rode home. It was raining quite a lot and we went to see Lisa and the girls. Me, M and R tidied M and D’s bedroom so there was space to play on the floor. We played with the Littlest pets and had a tea-party. When we left them we went to our friends house. I played a lot with Dylan her little boy. He is really funny now. He kept stroking my hair and kissing me!
On Tuesday we went to Di’s house and helped get her garden ready for her party next week.

Up On The Roof

Then we went to meet our friends because Mahaela was babysitting me when Mum went out. I played with Dylan lots again and watched some TV. Mahaela got me chips for tea.
Yesterday we went to group. There was a cafe and stall selling clothes, toys and books. I was shouting a lot to get everyone in the park to come to the stall!
We went to the museum again to do a garden wildlife workshop. We saw Lin and the boys there. I entered a competition so I hope I win! I did another museum quiz. This one was all about meditteranean antiques. I got 3 more packs of cards!
We rode our bikes home and I finished making the lantern that I started on Sunday. It looks really good!
Last night we watched Hoodwinked. It was about Red Riding Hood and I thought it was really funny! The wolf was a detective and Granny was like a teenager who went skating and snowboarding!
Today Lin and the boys came over. Mum and Lin chatted. Me, J and M played upstairs with my Lego land.
When they went I finished colouring a picture of a boar for Chinese New Year. Me and mum made two squids because some fishermen caught the largest squid ever in the world!
